University of Puget Sound

Location and description of area: The University of Puget Sound is a privately endowed institution, located in Tacoma, Washington, thirty-five miles south of Seattle and easily accessible from Interstate-5. With a full time campus enrollment of 2,600, the University maintains a strong commitment to teaching excellence; scholarly engagement and fruitful student-faculty interaction. Small classes and ready access to facilities produce a vital teaching/learning environment. The student faculty ratio is 11:1 which allows students to work closely with their professors. The University of Puget Sound is an independent, residential, undergraduate liberal arts and sciences college, inviting applications from freshman, transfer, and graduate international students.
