Location and description of area: On the campus of Seattle Pacific University located just minutes north of downtown Seattle, the leading urban center in the Pacific Northwest. On the north side of campus is the scenic Lake Washington Ship Canal (http://www.spu.edu/info/maps/pictoral.html) with its fascinating boat traffic, while to the south is Queen Anne Hill, one of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods in the city with amazing views of Puget Sound. The city bus service to Downtown is direct and takes just 10 minutes. The area around SPU is generally quiet and very safe, allowing students to enjoy the natural beauty and cityscapes surrounding the campus. The A.C.E. Language Institute's main office is conveniently located on Nickerson Street with ready access to the campus bus stop, Campus Bookstore, and Student Union Building.

Total student population: Seattle Pacific University's total enrollment is 3,873 with 3,022 undergraduate students as of Fall 2005. In summer 2005 Continuing Education enrollment was 6,085.

International student population: Enrollment in the A.C.E. Language Institute totals approximately 100 full time students and 150 - 200 short-term program students per year. Seattle Pacific University's admitted international students total approximately 75 � 100 per year.

Programs offered:

  • Intensive ESL -- 6-Level 60 Week Intensive English Curriculum
  • FLEX Program -- Intensive ESL + Daily Tutoring (1 Hour Per Day with Professional Tutor)
  • College Observation Program -- Level 6 Participants Regularly Observe an Academic Course along with Daily Review with ESL Instructor for 10-Week Quarter
  • TOEFL and TOEIC Prep -- A.C.E. Language Institute is a TOEIC Test Center
  • Pre-MBA Certificate Program -- A.C.E. Language Institutes and Seattle Pacific University combine on an exciting Pre-MBA Certificate Program. All credits earned are applicable toward an MBA.
